Vintage Thunderbird Mosaic Necklace, c. 1930's

This vintage piece is from the depression era and includes an intricate design that honors even the smallest pieces of turquoise stone. A thunderbird sits front and center in this design, complete with striped tail feathers and a dotted wing design. The Thunderbird is surrounded by smooth round beads and mosaic flags that add color and give the rest of the piece direction. This design includes so much color, vibrancy, and life thanks to the many tiny mosaic pieces that make up the overall motif.
