Vintage Twisted Wire Turquoise Dog Cuff, c. 1940's

This vintage cuff design starts with a single hammered wire. It’s then sandwiched between two twisted wires that arch to make room for a center stone and two playful hand-cut dogs.
The center turquoise oval is oblong, an interesting shape, and is surrounded by a sweet sterling silver beaded border and scalloped edge. The sterling silver that makes up the design is gently textured, a reminder of this piece’s storied past. It’s from the Fred Harvey era, a time that helped define southwestern jewelry style.
The entire piece is lightweight and unique—with lots of open space, texture and charm. Wear it on it’s own, or add dainty supporting bracelets for an even more interesting arm stack.
