Jesse Robbins And The Cheyenne Turquoise Claim

Jesse Robbins And The Cheyenne Turquoise Claim

Shot within the far-reaches of the Great Basin Desert, this short documentary follows Jesse Robbins, a young turquoise miner and jeweler who has taken over the Cheyenne Turquoise claim, a mine which has been sporadically active for over a century. Deep in the desolate Nevada landscape, with only other abandoned mines and sagebrush as his companions, Jesse searches for the stone, which high quality examples of, are rarer than diamonds. He shares what Turquoise has meant to him, and how the search ultimately has led him to find himself.
